Tens of thousands of Vizhnitz Hasidim, in Israel and around the world, were informed this evening (Sunday) of one of the most exciting and surprising events in the history of the court in the last decade.

This is the occasion of the introduction of a personal and private Torah scroll of the Rebbe of Vizhnitz, which was written in complete secrecy and will be introduced with great pomp and splendor into the large Beit Midrash Hall in the Vizhnitz neighborhood in Bnei Brak.

The drama in the courtyard began to unfold only after Passover, when the Rebbe called his sons and closest associates and stunned them with the news: During his stay in Los Angeles for medical treatment, he had begun writing a Torah scroll for his own personal benefit.

For many months, under a heavy veil of secrecy and while away from the public eye, the Rebbe and the writer labored over the writing of the book, with no one, including the closest family members, being aware of it.

""This is the Rebbe's Torah scroll for himself, a personal spiritual privilege that he chose to grant himself for his health," the Hasidim say.

With the revelation of the secret, the court institutions began preparations for a series of ceremonies culminating on Shavuot – the holiday of the giving of the Torah: the ceremony of completing the writing of the letters will take place with a large crowd, with drums and dances, after the final counting of the Omer, on the night of the 19th of Omer.

The eve of Shavuot: An hour and a half before the holiday begins, the main procession will take place through the streets of the Kirya. Organizers are preparing for a demonstration of thousands of Hasidim who will accompany the book to the Great Temple of the Temple.

The mitzvah dances and the festive mitzvah meal will take place during the 'Tish Locking of the Holiday' of Shavuot.

Due to the nature of the event and the deep emotional connection of the Hasidim to the Rebbe, Vizhnitz expects the arrival of Hasidim from abroad and from all over the country, who will fill the Vizhnitz housing complex and make the upcoming Shavuot holiday historic.

""This is an event that will be enshrined in the annals of Hasidism. The Rebbe wrote the Torah for himself, but the joy is for all of us," say the Boiznitzs.
