Mrs. Michal Shriki, 24, from Betar Illit, passed away last week in the United States, after a serious illness.
Her husband, Yosef Chaim Shriki, accompanied Arona on the flight back to Israel. However, when he landed at Ben Gurion Airport on Friday, he was detained by authorities on charges of desertion from the IDF.
After the intervention of Attorney Shlomo Hadad, the new widower was released, but was required to report immediately after the end of the 'swearing-in'.
Shriki A.H. has spent the last few months in the United States for medical treatment for her illness.
Many prayed for her recovery, but sadly, on the seventh day of Passover, she passed away.
The funeral took place on Mount Hamunehot in Jerusalem, where she was buried next to her grandmother.
