
Police officers and inspectors from the Bnei Brak Municipal Policing Unit arrested a 25-year-old man with suspected stolen property - including credit cards and cash.
During the investigation, it was revealed that the suspect had also broken into a vehicle. Upon completion of the investigation, an indictment was filed against him.
The arrest was made more than a week ago, after a report was received at the police headquarters about a suspect on Jabotinsky Street in Bnei Brak.
Police officers and inspectors from the municipal police unit arrived at the scene, located the suspect and conducted a search - during which the suspect's stolen property was seized in his possession, including: a gold wristwatch, 6 credit cards, a checkbook, NIS 3,541 in cash, a mobile phone, charger, flashlight, speaker, wallet, side bag and sunglasses.
The investigation into the incident revealed that about a month ago, the suspect broke into a vehicle that was left with the window open on Cirleson Street in Bnei Brak, and stole a credit card and 2,000 NIS in cash.
The suspect, a resident of Bnei Brak, was arrested and brought in for questioning - at the end of which he was imprisoned, and his detention was extended from time to time.
Upon completion of the investigation, the Tel Aviv District Police Prosecution Unit filed an indictment against the suspect for breaking into a vehicle with intent to steal, theft from a vehicle, and possession of property suspected of being stolen, along with a request for detention until the end of the proceedings.
