After the declaration of a ceasefire: Secretary of War Pete Hasseth issued a statement today (Wednesday) saying that the military campaign against Iran ended in a "crushing victory on the battlefield" - which brought the regime in Tehran to the negotiating table under immense pressure, while "Iran begged for a ceasefire.".

The Secretary of War emphasized that "Iran has been a threat to the free world for 47 years, but not anymore, not on our watch.".

""Iran begged for this ceasefire - everyone knows that," Gaseth began. "In less than 40 days, and using less than 10% of our combat power, we neutralized one of the largest armies in the world. It was only a fraction of our strength. We achieved all the objectives on schedule.".

Elaborating on the war's achievements, the General said: "Their navy is at the bottom, the air force has been wiped out. They have no air defense system - we are the masters of their skies. Their missile program is practically destroyed. Last night, after 800 strikes, we destroyed their industry - which was a core goal for us.".

He added a warning to the regime in Tehran: "They can still shoot here and there, but that would be really unwise. If Iran had refused our conditions, the next targets would have been energy and infrastructure targets, which they cannot protect. President Trump could have destroyed their economy in seconds, but he chose the path of mercy and preferred dialogue to total destruction, from the perspective of a 'president of peace' who is prepared to make difficult decisions.".

According to him, the change in power in Iran stemmed from the realization that they had no other options: "The new regime realized that a deal was better. They saw what happened to their predecessors... The former Supreme Leader of Iran - dead. The Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council - dead. The Advisor to the Supreme Leader's Office - dead. The Head of the Supreme Leader's Military Office - dead. The Minister of Defense - no longer with us. The Commander of the Revolutionary Guards - dead. The Commander of the General Staff of the Armed Forces - dead. The Minister of Intelligence - dead. The Commander of the Revolutionary Guards Navy - no longer here. The Head of the Intelligence of the Revolutionary Guards - dead.".

He added: "I skipped a few... and the new Supreme Leader, wounded and disfigured. They've run out of options and time is running out. They know that as part of the deal they won't have nuclear weapons. The president was clear - they won't have nuclear weapons, period. They learned the hard way what happens when you fight us.".

The General thanked Israel for its part in the campaign: "To our Israeli allies, thank you for being brave, capable, and true allies on this battlefield. The rest of the world and our other so-called allies have seen what real capabilities look like. They should take some notes for themselves now.".

He also clarified that the US will remain in the region to ensure the agreement is upheld: "We are not going anywhere. We will make sure that they meet the terms of the ceasefire and come to the negotiating table. We are ready to defend and attack at a moment's notice.".

Regarding the fate of the enriched uranium in Iran's possession, Al-Hasseth said that the US is monitoring the materials and knows exactly where they are. He stated in no uncertain terms that the US will work to remove the uranium, "whether they bring it in voluntarily or if we come and extract it by force.".

He said that President Trump is determined to resolve this issue, and the United States is prepared to use all necessary means to ensure that the dangerous materials do not remain in the hands of the regime.
