National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir claimed today (Sunday), in an interview on the Be'er TV channel, that the Iranians are exposed to his phone calls.
On the day the war with Iran broke out, he said: "That day I received dozens of calls from reporters asking me if it was true that there would be an attack on Iran. Of course I didn't even answer them. This is serious. Don't you understand that the Iranians are exposed to these things? Why call to ask the minister? Of course it has consequences.".
When asked whether the Iranians were exposed to his phone calls, he replied, "Of course.".
He said this after being asked about Elior Azran, one of the spokesmen for his party member MK Yitzhak Kreuzer, who posted before the outbreak of the war in which he wrote: "Friends, I have just received a significant update that tonight you will be making a kiddush in the MMAD, take care of yourselves and fasten your seatbelts, take off." Ben Gvir claimed that anyone who leaks secret details from security operations should be tried, but that is not the case. "Let's tell the truth, there were rumors that day, the whole country was talking about it," he claimed.
""If he had to be arrested, then Yonit Levy should have been arrested too. Channel 12 already came to the studio in suits," he added. "For me, someone who knew and leaked it is very serious. But in my opinion, he didn't know. How did Elior Azran know? My wife didn't know, who knew? Where did he know? MK Kreuzer knew about the incident? Are you kidding me? Did anyone know? I didn't know.".

When asked about the High Court ruling yesterday that allowed the demonstration at the Bimah, he attacked: "This is a reckless decision. They endangered civilians, they endangered fighters, they endangered policemen and women. I simply cannot understand how this recklessness happens when the High Court violates Shabbat as if it were some kind of urgent matter, lets the Home Front Command respond within an hour, and then with complete irresponsibility sends people and tells them, 'Come on, you can demonstrate with 600 people.'".
""At the Western Wall, the Home Front Command does not approve, at the Temple Mount, the Home Front Command does not approve - these are more important places than the stage. Why are there enforcement there and not at Kaplan? This is blatant irresponsibility on the part of Amit and his friends. They are whining about the security of the state, whining about the Home Front Command. There are orders that save lives. After all, what would happen if a missile fell there?""
Regarding the decision being made on Saturday, he said: "Why is it so urgent? What would have happened if they had postponed it until Saturday night? Then they would have protested at 9:00 PM and not 7:00 PM. You see, the High Court of Justice, they can't avoid it. They have a very political position in favor of one side.".
