During Shabbat, there were several areas of falling shrapnel in the city of Bnei Brak - and extensive damage was caused to several buildings.

One of the scenes where a cluster bomb fragment fell at 2 a.m. was near the home of Degel chairman MK Moshe Gafni, and the windows of his house were shattered.

MK Gafni said that "a great miracle happened to me and my family.".

The huge shrapnel, which turned into a fireball, missed the building of the Degel chairman by five meters and fell on the building next to his home - causing only property damage.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke with Gafni this evening. The Prime Minister inquired about his well-being and that of his wife - who followed the instructions and went down to the shelter at the time of the warning, thus being saved.

MK Gafni thanked Netanyahu for his interest and concern and told him that "by the grace of heaven, a great miracle has been performed for me.".
