MK Meir Porush addressed today (Monday), in a speech in the Knesset plenum, the vote that took place last night on the return of the Haredi education and welfare budget to the budget, with the support of the opposition parties - and the incitement that followed it.
""I know everyone here is tired from yesterday, and the agenda is still long, so I'll make it short - but on a day like this, you can't give up on a 'loser government' speech, the third in a row. This time, to be more precise, it should be said - 'loser opposition.' It seems to me that the concept of 'losers' needs to be redefined after last night.".
""But I actually want to give credit to the losers this time. Your vote in favor of returning the budget that was stolen from the children of Haredi education and the Torah world is commendable. We have a concept of 'a nice conversation fee.' Here, your conversation is not nice at all, but in action, you are actually surprisingly good. Well done.".
In his words, he sharply attacked the incitement: "But I didn't really think that after your show of loserhood last night you would be able to hold back. Not a minute passed, and in an attempt to cover up the embarrassment, all the senior leaders of the loser opposition went on an unbridled rampage, full of incitement and hatred against poor children who were not born into the right family, in quotation marks.".
""And here, as usual, the competition is tough, very tough. Lapid, Bennett, Lieberman of course, even Eisenkot a little, Yair Golan of course. All the senior leaders of the loser opposition – in the Knesset and outside – went out in the dead of night to attack the Haredi children.
""The former loser prime minister, Naftali Bennett, who began bleeding mandates in the polls for Eizenkot, thinks that with hatred and incitement he will save his situation. Yesterday, the same loser described the Hersh sheep as 'pigs.'".
""If we talk about losers and 'pigs', then just yesterday it was announced that while most parties have worked to drastically reduce their debts, Naftali Bennett, Ehud Barak and Yoaz Hendel have not repaid a single shekel in recent years, according to the data - and continue to hold debts of millions of shekels to the state treasury, while outwardly presenting integrity and protecting the interests of the public. Naftali Bennett, for the parties he headed - Jewish Home and Yamina - holds a total debt of nearly 20 million shekels that has remained outstanding in recent years, without any repayment.
""Bennett, let's call the child by his name - you are stealing public funds, and I express myself gently, because you have a much less parliamentary definition of what you did. Before you talk about Haredi children from whom the legal advice wants to rob their bread and milk, and call them derogatory nicknames, look in the mirror and return the money - you are a loser who takes public funds, and simply does not return them. In the world, they call such a person a thief.".
In his speech, he "comforted" the opposition members: "I also have something to say about the incitement of the members here in the building, but today I will take pity on them, their drooping faces here in the hallways tell the whole story. I have comfort for them. You really have nothing to be ashamed of, you approved money for boys and girls, you approved money for Torah students, you approved money to build seminaries, you approved money for at-risk youth, for the periphery, for welfare. This is not something we should be ashamed of.
""And most importantly, citizens of Israel, don't believe the lies, this is not new money. This is in the category of 'returning the loot.' These are very basic funds that are legally reaching their destination. It's a shame that the legal advice is sticking them up, and this shame was fixed last night. And if they try to continue sabotaging this money, we will have to continue to promote additional brakes here in the Knesset against the rampage of legal officials.".
