Shas Chairman MK Aryeh Deri approached the Chairman of the Finance Committee, MK Hanoch Milbitsky, in the Knesset plenary today (Monday), and thanked him for the passionate speech he delivered yesterday in the plenary - in favor of Torah students and Haredi education and against the ongoing incitement of the left.
"It was an exemplary speech," Deri said. "You made a great Kiddush of God, you spoke from the heart and courageously against all the haters of religion, and you proudly represented the Jewish tradition. Strong and blessed.".
In a heated speech, Milvitsky said: "Torah students want to surround themselves with the world of Torah. From their perspective, there is no need for core studies because core studies distract them from their goal. You come and try to force core studies on them - who are you? Look down. Show respect for the tradition of Israel, for what has protected us from day one.".
