Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir addressed the latest developments in the fighting this evening (Saturday night), saying that the damage to the Iranian regime is extensive and is accumulating into significant achievements.
According to him, these are achievements on the military, economic, and governmental levels, against the backdrop of the ongoing fighting.
Zamir emphasized: "The extensive damage we have caused to the Iranian regime in the last three weeks is beginning to accumulate into a systemic-strategic, military, economic and governmental achievement. The evil regime is weaker, Iran is more exposed and without significant defense capability.".
He continued his remarks by referring to the Iranian missile threat, saying: "Iran launched a two-stage intercontinental ballistic missile with a range of 4,000 kilometers towards an American target on the island of Diego Garcia. These missiles were not intended to hit Israel. Their range reaches the capitals of Europe - Berlin, Paris and Rome are all within direct threat range.".
The Chief of Staff updated that he had approved the continuation of activity in the north, saying: "Today I approved the plans for the continuation of the fighting to the Northern Command. There is no more containment! There is initiative! There are offensives! Our forces will stand as a buffer between the enemy and the settlements, and any target that poses a threat to them will be eliminated.""
He referred to the continuation of the struggle: "We are halfway there, but the direction is clear. In about a week, on Passover, the holiday of freedom, we will continue to fight for our freedom and our future.".
