According to conspiracy theories on Iranian social media, "the Revolutionary Guards announced a 'successful' assassination of a senior member of the political and security cabinet.".
Later, the identity of the "eliminated" was also published: the Telegram channel "Revolutionary Guards News Channel" announced that "there are clear signs of the assassination and killing of Itamar Ben Gvir.""
This message was later quoted on other Iranian and Arab social networks.
This evening (Wednesday), Minister Ben Gvir responded to the 'fake' being spread in Iran about his assassination: "I am dying - to execute terrorists. Death penalty law for terrorists now!"'
