15 days after the start of the 'Harry's Roar': IDF spokesman, Brigadier General Efi Dufferin, said at noon (Sunday) that the army plans to continue attacking Iran for another three weeks - until Passover and perhaps beyond.
""There are thousands more targets ahead of us," he said in an interview with the American network CNN. "We are ready, in coordination with our American allies, with plans at least until Passover, about three weeks from now. And we have deeper plans for even three weeks beyond that.".
Dufferin emphasized that Israel's goal is to "seriously weaken" the Iranian regime, and according to him, the IDF "does not work with a stopwatch or a timetable, but rather to achieve our goals.".
The Wall Street Journal quoted an Israeli security source this afternoon as saying that the IDF has succeeded in significantly eroding Iran's ability to launch ballistic missiles at Israel, and that in recent attacks, the number of missiles launched at a time was on average only one or two.
According to the source, Israel and the US' control of Iranian skies makes it very difficult for the regime's launch units to operate in a coordinated manner, for fear of being harmed.
Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar said today that "Israel has no shortage of interceptors." This comes after a report last night on the anti-Israeli American news website Semaphore claimed that Israel informed the US last week that it was facing a critical shortage of ballistic missile interceptors.
As mentioned, the Foreign Minister was asked today about this report, and denied it.
IDF sources said today that Israel was preparing for a long campaign with Iran alongside the US, and that there has been no change from what they had prepared for in advance. The IDF says that at this stage there is no shortage of interceptors.
