Crime in Bnei Brak: A 21-year-old from Modi'in Illit was stabbed on Saturday night - and hospitalized in serious condition

A 21-year-old yeshiva student from the ultra-Orthodox city of Modiin Illit was stabbed on Shabbat night and seriously injured, after an argument with the stabber on Rabbi Kahneman Street in Bnei Brak.

Rescue forces, police and Border Guard were called at 11:30 PM on Saturday night to Kahneman Street following a report of a young man injured in a stabbing incident.

According to eyewitnesses, the yeshiva student was stabbed after a verbal dispute with the stabbing victims, and was taken by MDA ambulance to Sheba Hospital in Tel Hashomer, to continue receiving medical treatment at the hospital.,

Police and Border Guard forces conducted searches throughout the city to locate the stabbing suspect - who has not yet been caught.

The police continue to investigate the case.

United Hatzalah Shabbat volunteer Avi Refaeli: "I found the young man suffering from penetrating injuries to his body and was told that he had been injured in a violent incident. I provided him with medical treatment at the scene, which included stopping the bleeding, and he was then taken to Tel Hashomer Hospital, where his condition is described as serious.".

Hatzala Shabbat Torah volunteers, chairman Oshi Shlomowitz and paramedic Dudi Blau added: "When we arrived at the scene, we found a 21-year-old young man suffering from penetrating injuries to his lower body after being injured in a violent incident. Together with MDA paramedics, we provided him with initial medical treatment, including stopping the bleeding and applying bandages, and evacuated him in serious condition to continue receiving medical treatment in the trauma room at Sheba Hospital in Tel Hashomer.".

Meanwhile, United Hatzalah medical teams provided first aid on Saturday night to a 16-year-old boy who was moderately injured on Baal Tanya Street in Bnei Brak.

Moishe Kreuzer, Shabbat watchman for United Hatzalah: "According to his friends, a heavy iron fence fell on him. The boy was injured in the head and upper body. I provided him with medical treatment and evacuated him in the United Hatzalah ambulance I have to the trauma room at Sheba Hospital in Tel Hashomer, where his condition is described as moderate.".
