After Yair Lapid's campaign on his head: Naftali Bennett responded today (Tuesday), in a speech at the 2026 Presidents' Conference, to claims by his members of the left bloc that he will sit down with Netanyahu after the elections.
Bennett, who according to Channel 14's Shlomo Filber polls will lose the elections, said: "I will not let the leadership that has failed continue. I intend to lead Israel into its next chapter - stronger.".
In his speech at the conference, he said: "I tell you today - a divided Israel will not survive. I must tell the truth: Israel's current leadership has divided us and is dividing us now, more than ever.
""After three decades since coming to power, and after the greatest disaster in Israeli history occurred on his watch, a leader must know when to step down with dignity. Israel is greater than any one person. The next chapter must be written by a new leadership, without those people responsible for the disaster. I will not let the failed leadership continue. I intend to lead Israel into its next chapter - stronger.""
MK Mickey Levy of Mish Atid warned this morning about the strengthening of Naftali Bennett and claimed in an interview with 103FM radio that a significant portion of the mandates attributed to him in the polls are not "natural", but came from Mish Atid.
Levy even questioned Bennett's commitment to the left bloc: "The mandates Bennett has are not natural, they are Yesh Atid mandates that went there. Bennett was the CEO of Yesha, he came from a certain place with a certain worldview. Bennett is too strong to go with the Likud, I'm putting that on the table.".
