The President of the Rishon LeZion Magistrate's Court, Judge Menachem Mizrahi, partially accepted the request of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's chief of staff, Tzachi Braverman - and decided to allow him to leave the country - in light of his appointment as ambassador to the United Kingdom.

However, Mizrahi stated that if Braverman is required for police questioning, he will return within 12 hours. He extended the ban on Braverman from contacting the others involved in the affair - but he will be able to return to Netanyahu's office.

During the hearing, the police representative informed that Braverman was about to be questioned again, and added that there was a need to conduct additional investigative actions in the case.

The police representative noted that the investigators are awaiting the district court's decision regarding the release of the raw materials from the interview with Eli Feldstein and emphasized that extending the restrictive conditions on Braverman is necessary in order to quickly advance the investigation.

""We fear disruption. If Braverman is in a public position and cannot attend the investigation, what will the court say?" a police representative wondered during the hearing.

On the other hand, the defense attorney for Braverman, who is slated to be Israel's ambassador to Britain, claimed that the discussion was intended to "thwart the appointment.".

He noted that not a single claim was made that justifies delaying departure from the country, and that there is no reason to fear disruption of the investigation. "If the goal is not to disrupt the appointment, I don't understand what purpose there is in delaying departure from the country," the lawyer added.
