Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met this evening (Wednesday) with US President Donald Trump in the Oval Office at the White House.
This is the seventh meeting between them since Trump began his second term as president, and the sixth in the White House itself, after the previous one was held at Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida.
The meeting, which lasted more than three hours, was also attended by Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Secretary of Defense Pete Hasegawa, and special envoys Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff.
At the end of the meeting, Prime Minister Netanyahu left the White House - without any joint statements being made by him and the American president.
The US President posted a message on the TRUTH social network in which he wrote: "I just finished a meeting with the Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, and several of his representatives. It was a very good meeting, and the tremendous relationship between our two countries continues.".
Regarding the situation with Iran, he noted: "No final decision has been reached, except that I insisted that negotiations with Iran continue to see if a deal can be completed. If not, we will have to see what the outcome will be. Last time, Iran decided that it was better for it not to sign a deal, and it got the 'midnight hammer.' It didn't work out well for it.".
Netanyahu's office said: "Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has just concluded a meeting at the White House with US President Donald Trump and his team. At the meeting, they discussed negotiations with Iran, Gaza, and regional developments. The Prime Minister discussed the security needs of the State of Israel in the context of the negotiations, and the two agreed to continue coordination and close contact between them.".
Earlier, the Prime Minister gave US Secretary of State Marco Rubio a document in which Israel joins the 'Peace Council' established by President Trump and will also manage Gaza.
Immediately afterwards, the Prime Minister entered the Oval Office for the meeting for which the Prime Minister made the trip.
