Another serious violation of the ceasefire: A retired IDF officer was seriously injured last night (Wednesday) by terrorist fire in the "Yellow Line" area in the northern Gaza Strip.

He is being taken to a hospital for medical treatment. His family has been notified.

The encounter occurred during operational activity by Alexandroni Brigade forces in the Darj Tofah neighborhood.

Near the cemetery where the body of Ran Guili was found, terrorists surprised the fighters and opened fire on them, wounding the officer.

This is an area where there are still buildings that have not yet been blown up by the forces.

Immediately after the incident, IDF forces returned fire. Tanks fired at the sources of the shooting, while airstrikes were carried out in the area.

The IDF noted that this was a blatant violation of the ceasefire agreement.

The Heroism Forum responded to the reserve officer's injury: "While the State of Israel opens the Rafah crossing, Hamas continues to advance its goal of the October Seven massacre - to harm Israeli citizens and IDF soldiers. It is impossible that after more than two years of stubborn fighting in which our loved ones gave their lives, Hamas still has military capabilities and a desire to harm our soldiers. This scourge must be eradicated once and for all.".

""We demand that the Israeli government stand firm in the face of pressure and demand, first and foremost, the dismantling of Hamas and the disarmament of the Strip. Only then will it be possible to talk about the future of Gaza and the exit of wounded from the Strip through the Rafah crossing. A comprehensive military operation must be launched immediately to eradicate Hamas.".

MK Avigdor Lieberman tweeted: "Terrorists fired at an IDF force in Gaza - and a reserve officer was seriously injured. And at the same time, the 7.10 government continues to strengthen Hamas and finance electricity, water and thousands of trucks every week with millions of shekels - all at the expense of the taxpayer. The Hamas tax government.".
