Naftali Bennett said this evening (Monday) at a closed activists' conference in Rishon LeZion that he does not regret the decision to form a government with Mansour Abbas and the Ra'am party.
""I'm sorry that I hurt people, but I stand behind my considerations. I stand behind the decision. Whatever happened, we went to the elections and I really didn't know Mansour Abbas. Like all the parties, I said I wouldn't sit with them.".
However, he continued to make promises: "After October 7, we do not have a mandate in the State of Israel to establish a government based on Arab parties. We will establish a unity government headed by me, Zionist, based on the Servant Alliance, and that is what is going to happen, and we are going to win and establish it.".
Outside the hall, a number of Likud activists demonstrated, and Bennett was furious with them and said that he had suggested to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that he hold a confrontation with him.
""Instead of having a debate, which he is afraid to do, he sends activists to interfere. Be a man, confront me, don't send activists. Whenever you want - say a place, say a time, I am ready to confront Bibi on any issue. But not through paid activists, that's not being a man," Bennett said.
