Cooperation between the Shi'ite District of the police and the IDF led last night (Thursday) to a search and arrest operation carried out by fighters from the operational wing of the "Arrow of Yehuda" Special Operations Command.

The fighters raided the home of a cleric ('Imam') in Hebron in the dead of night who is affiliated with the terrorist organization 'Hamas' and is suspected of being active in and encouraging the carrying out of terrorist attacks against the State of Israel.

In a collection activity conducted by intelligence officials, among his publications in recent months, calls and encouragement for acts of terrorism and the destruction of the State of Israel were identified, and the glorification of the Hamas terrorist organization's spokesman, Obeida, who was eliminated by the IDF during Operation Iron Swords, with the suspect stating that these were martyrs.

The arrested suspect, a Palestinian resident of Hebron in his 30s, was transferred for questioning at the Hebron station for offenses of harming regional security, expressing identification with a terrorist organization, and inciting and supporting a terrorist organization.

At the end of his interrogation, he was imprisoned, and the investigation into the cases is still ongoing.
