Yisrael Beiteinu Party Chairman MK Avigdor Lieberman said today (Monday) at the start of his faction's meeting in the Knesset that the bloc that opposes Netanyahu must stand behind him with one proposal that presents an alternative.
Lieberman: "If the Bloc of Servants wants to defeat the Bloc of Dodgers in the elections, we need to present a shared vision and shared values, not just a technical unification. Like, for example, on the issue of the conscription law.".
""You can't just complain that the draft evasion law is a bad law, that it has nothing in common with conscription or the needs of the IDF. We, as a bloc, need to present one common conscription law for everyone. We can't postpone this discussion to coalition negotiations. It needs to be long before the elections. The Servants' Bloc must present a united front from now on.".
He added: "The same goes for tribalism and Haredi extortion, and the same goes for promoting one chief rabbi for Israel, who must be someone who served in the IDF. I also promote the issues of public transportation on Shabbat and holidays, and the constitution. We all need to be signatories to those proposals.".
He said, "I will try to lead to full agreement in these areas in the coming month. If we all stand behind one proposal, we will present a real alternative - I have no doubt that we will win big.".
