The Satmar Rebbe, who is vacationing in Palm Springs, California, addressed last night (Saturday night) the protests against the draft decree and the stampede disasters that occurred in Jerusalem and near the Kommiot Moshav - and forbade yeshiva students and kollel avrabhi from participating in roadblocks.
This is a dramatic instruction after the young men Yosef Eisenthal, z"l, and Naftali Zvi Kramer, z"l, were run over to death.
The Rebbe began: "Over a decade ago, when three young men were kidnapped by murderous Arabs in Judea and Samaria, I spoke out and asked a very difficult question: Who gives permission to send young men to the occupied territories? This is a dangerous place, there are Arab murderers walking around who kill the young men - and the parents who sent their children to a dangerous place have their blood on their hands.
""At the time, there were many 'Zionists' who shouted that it was not a dangerous place, but the reality is known to everyone - sending young men to the territories is murder.".
The Rebbe continued: "In recent weeks, when the decree on the conscription of yeshiva students reached a new peak, with harsh decrees and the kidnapping of young men from their homes - demonstrations began to be held in the streets. Unfortunately, in some of the demonstrations there are people who block roads and do inappropriate things.
""Recently, two young men were murdered in these demonstrations, and I want to say from here - the Zionists are no less murderers than the Arabs.
Just as everyone understands that you don't send the guys to the territories, where Arab murderers roam - the same thing you don't send guys to demonstrations, where 'Zionist' murderers roam, it's exactly the same thing.".
The Rebbe emphasized: "I can't speak for the whole world, but we have yeshivots in Jerusalem and Bnei Brak, we have kollels in Jerusalem and Bnei Brak - and I want to forbid our people from participating in these demonstrations, where there are 'Zionists' who are murdering them.".
According to the Rebbe, "According to two witnesses, it will be established, two young men were murdered by the 'Zionist' murderers, and that is enough!"
