The Ministry of Health reports a proactive recall of baby food and specialty food formulas from the global company Nestlé, following the possible identification of the toxin ceruloide, which originates from the bacterium Bacillus cereus.

The toxin can cause excessive vomiting, nausea, abdominal pain and cramps, diarrhea, and weakness, especially in infants.

After an examination conducted by the Ministry of Health with the relevant authorities, as of this time, the products included in the voluntary recall are not commercially imported into Israel and are not marketed in Israel.

The Ministry of Health emphasized: "Consumers who purchased Nestlé baby formulas or specialized food abroad or through online shopping sites are asked to check whether the product in their possession appears on the list of products included in the voluntary recall, and to avoid consuming it. In the event of concern about health damage following use of the product, one should consult a doctor as soon as possible.".

The ministry urges consumers who purchased Nestlé products of this type from abroad or through online shopping sites to check the list of products included in the recall, and to avoid consuming them.
