Yaakov Wider, a member of the Bnei Brak City Council, submitted hundreds of reservations to Mayor Hanoch Seibert regarding the annual municipal budget proposal that will be voted on by the City Council tonight and which amounts to approximately 3 billion shekels - one of the highest municipal budgets in Israel.
According to the law and procedures, the mayor must bring any reservations submitted to the City Council for discussion and a vote, which is expected to turn the budget meeting, which was previously short and quick, into a lengthy meeting that will last for many hours.
Wider sharply attacked the budget brought by "municipality officials," as he defined it, calling it "sucked up and rotten." He added, "I may be one and they are many - but I will do everything to stop a budget that enriches cronies, jobbers, and combinations, instead of serving the residents of Bnei Brak.".
