Forces of the "Meitar" unit, operating under the command of the "Fire Brigade", have in recent days completed a first-of-its-kind readiness exercise in the territories of Judea and Samaria and the West Bank.
According to an IDF spokesman, the unit's unique 'exposure-attack' capabilities were practiced during the exercise.
The exercise included extreme scenarios and emergency events that develop in several areas simultaneously, including explosive events, mass casualty events, terrorist infiltration, and the joining of forces.
Among other things, the 'Dohar Shmayim' remotely piloted aircraft were activated to locate the enemy and quickly close fire circles - from the moment of exposure until the attack.
The unit provides the brigade and divisional level with an aerial situational picture and real-time operational decision-making.
The Meitar unit's exercise joins a wide range of exercises carried out by the IDF in the past month in the Judea and Samaria region.
