Will the police survive this? Outgoing Jerusalem District Commander Superintendent Amir Arzani informed the office of Police Commissioner Danny Levy and the district that he does not intend to attend his replacement ceremony, which is expected to take place in about two weeks.

According to a report by Joshua (Josh) Breiner in Haaretz, the superintendent is taking the step in protest of his removal from office.

National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir and Commissioner Danny Levy decided to terminate his position, due to sharp differences of opinion that arose between them regarding the Temple Mount, and appointed Deputy Commissioner Avshalom Peled in his place.

The police decided that Arzani would leave to study, and since then he has begun studying at the Peres Academic Center.
