Carrefour's Big December has already opened in the first week with a celebration of meats, chicken legs for 7.90 NIS and thousands of deals throughout the chain - and now comes the second week, which is entirely dedicated to aggressive deals on baby products and tea infusions for 4.90 NIS.
The move reflects Carrefour's strategy of bringing market voucher deals on basic consumer products, with the goal of allowing consumers to save on the most essential shopping basket.
According to a Maariv survey published today, the cheapest basket of baby products in Israel is at Carrefour - with a gap of over 23% from competitors.
The figure highlights the chain's continued trend in the Great December: deep sales on products that return again and again to the family shopping basket, especially among large families and the Haredi public. Among the products that stand out in this week's sales: two units of Materna/Mehadrin are sold for NIS 95, two units of Similac Gold for NIS 115, two units of Nutrilon for NIS 110, three units of Pampers Premium for NIS 90, a quartet of Huggies wipes for 2 units for NIS 30, and three units of Huggies Freedom Dry for NIS 90. Care products are also offered at affordable prices: Camille Blue soap/lotion for 19.90 NIS per unit, Maxima Baby laundry gel for 25.90 NIS, Carrefour Sensitive fabric softener for 9.90 NIS, Prinok stuffed animals — 3 units for 12 NIS, and Squeeze gnomes — 2 units for 9 NIS.
In addition, as part of the market voucher campaign, tea infusions and green tea from the international brand Carrefour will be offered for only NIS 4.90, one of the lowest prices in Israel for the series' products.
At the same time, Carrefour continues to offer broad discounts across all retail consumer goods sectors - from cleaning products and lotions to basic food products - deals specifically tailored to the needs of families with many children, so that the customer benefits in both quantity and price.
The Big December is not a one-time event, but part of a process built over time, offering a quality, affordable and accessible shopping experience. Along with attractive prices, the chain continues to expand its distribution, improve shopping convenience and adapt its branches to the ultra-Orthodox public and busy families who seek efficiency and savings with every visit.
The branches are filled with a Hanukkah atmosphere - from the regular departments to branded holiday areas. With the aggressive Baby Week and promotions on tea infusions, Carrefour manages to combine low prices, familiar brands and an accessible shopping experience, giving consumers the opportunity to stock up for the winter in a particularly profitable way.
