Upon landing this morning (Sunday, local time) in New York, and ahead of his political meetings with senior officials in the US Congress and Senate, Knesset Speaker Amir Ohana traveled directly from the airport to the tent of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, zt"l, where he placed tefillin - and then entered the Zion.
As is customary at the site, after reciting a chapter of Psalms, Chairman Ohana placed a note in the Zion compound containing a prayer:
"In prayer for the repose of the souls of Israel's martyrs and heroes, for the return of the hero Ran Gweily to the Land of Israel, for the peace and security of all the sons and daughters of the citizens of Israel and the Jewish people, and for unity and connection between all parts of the nation. 5776 - will be a year of reconciliation and unity. B'H.".
