After the High Court of Justice's ruling on the petitions regarding the investigation into the 'Punch-Action Case': MK Avichai Boaron and the Lavie organization claim in a statement they published today (Sunday) that this is "a great victory for everyone to whom truth and justice are important.".

The statement they issued stated: "The court accepted our position that the Minister of Justice has the sole authority to appoint the person who will conduct the investigation into the MAGRit matter.

""We have no doubt that the minister will appoint a highly qualified person to investigate the truth and bring all those involved to justice.".

They attacked Gali Baharav, explaining: "This is neither the first nor the second time that the High Court of Justice has ruled that the position of the legal advisor to the government is wrong, which shows that in addition to being a political figure, she is simply negligent and amateurish.

""We demand that the prosecutor's office respect the verdict and immediately remove its hands from the investigation of the MP - only in this way will the truth be revealed.".

MK Moshe Saada of the Likud also celebrated the High Court's decision.

The MK wrote in his X account: "The High Court's decision to recognize the exclusive authority of the Minister of Justice is an important and correct decision that begins to return power to elected officials.".

""I am pleased that the opinion I wrote to the Minister of Justice that the sole authority is in his hands and that the Attorney General and the Attorney General's Office are in a serious conflict of interest was fully accepted by the High Court judges.".

""Now I intend to present additional candidates to the Minister of Justice and bring about the urgent appointment of an external party who will investigate the truth and not participate in the cover-up and protect the system as it has been to date.".

Political commentator Amit Segal wrote: "The High Court of Justice fully adopts the opinion of the attorney general of the Ministry of Justice. This, despite the fact that it was slandered by the attorney general and her court journalists.".
