After last Friday the Istanbul Prosecutor General issued arrest warrants against 37 senior Israeli officials, including Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Defense Minister Yisrael Katz, Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir and a number of other senior Israeli officials, the Defense Minister responded this evening (Sunday) in a tweet on the X network, writing to the Turkish dictator: "Take your arrest warrants and get out of here.".
The full tweet reads: "Erdogan, take your ridiculous arrest warrants and get out of here. They are more appropriate for the massacre you are carrying out on the Kurds. Israel is strong and not afraid. You will only be able to see Gaza through binoculars.".
The accusations attribute "genocide" to Israel in Gaza – accusations that the State of Israel sees as a cynical political move by Turkish dictator Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
.@RTErdogan, şu gülünç tutuklama emirlerini al ve burdan defol. Onlar, Kürtlere kılığın katliama daha üğın. Israel is strong and strong. Gazze'yi only dürbünle görbilekesin. pic.twitter.com/dWhU0IVym4

Jerusalem emphasized that this is a baseless move aimed at attacking Israel in the international arena.
Foreign Minister Gideon Saar sharply attacked: "In Erdogan's Turkey, the legal system has long become a tool for suppressing political opponents, journalists and mayors." MK Avigdor Lieberman also responded, saying that "Erdogan's arrest warrants against senior Israeli officials make it clear why Turkey should not be involved in any way in Gaza affairs - neither directly nor indirectly.".
