
The IDF and Shin Bet received from the Red Cross this evening (Tuesday) the body of a kidnapped civilian who was located by the Hamas terrorist organization in the fighting area in the Shuja'iya neighborhood in eastern Gaza.
The body was transferred to Israeli territory and received in an official military ceremony led by the Chief Rabbi of the IDF.
A joint statement from the IDF and Shin Bet spokespeople stated: The coffin of the missing hostage, currently being escorted by IDF forces, recently crossed the border into the territory of the State of Israel and is making its way to the National Center for Forensic Medicine, where the identification process will be carried out.
On Sunday, the bodies of Lieutenant Colonel Assaf Hammi, Captain Omar Maxim Nowtra, and Sergeant Oz Daniel were returned to Israel.
Hamas held eight hostages until this evening: six Israelis - Major General Ran Gueili, Sergeant Itai Chen, Lieutenant Hadar Goldin, Dror Or, Manny Goddard and Lior Rudaif, as well as two foreign citizens - Joshua Loito Molal and Sontisque Rintalk.
