
Efforts to advance the conscription law continue: Following a meeting that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu held yesterday with the chairman of the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee, MK Boaz Bismuth, today (Tuesday) the Prime Minister also met with the person in charge of the conscription law on behalf of the Degel Hatorah party, the chairman of the United Torah Judaism faction - MK Uri Maklev.
During the meeting, the two discussed the issues on the agenda, primarily the issue of the conscription law.
At the end of the meeting, it was agreed to hold another meeting in the near future, to continue coordination between the parties.
Last night, MK Maklev also met with the opposition chairman, MK Yair Lapid. The meeting took place as part of a series of conversations that Maklev has been holding in recent days with senior political figures, with the aim of examining ways to promote broad consensus around the issue of conscription.
