Germany's second public network, ZDF, admitted today (Monday) that it had received documents from Israel indicating that one of its employees, Ahmed Asaad Muhammad Abu Batir, was a Hamas terrorist who served as a department commander in the terrorist organization's production system in the central Gaza Strip.

According to ZDF, the network was not aware of the terrorist's activities.

According to a report in Kan News, Abu Batir was an employee of the production company PMP, which worked in collaboration with ZDF in the Gaza Strip. He was killed in an attack targeting a building housing Hamas terrorists in the Deir al-Balah area. The son of another employee was also killed with him.

Initially, ZDF accused the IDF of "indiscriminate killing of journalists," and the report received widespread coverage in the German media.

However, after the Israeli documents were transferred, the public network said: "We welcome the Israeli army's decision to clarify the identity of the employee who was killed at the PMP production company in Gaza.".

According to an official statement published by the network, the IDF was contacted demanding answers regarding the circumstances of the two men's deaths, and the IDF provided unequivocal evidence that these were two terrorists operating on behalf of the Hamas terrorist organization.

ZDF also clarified that it is suspending cooperation with the production company PMP until further notice.
