Anti-Semites insist: The International Court of Justice in The Hague today (Wednesday) criticized Israel in an advisory opinion, determining that it had not been proven that a significant portion of UNRWA employees - the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees - were or are members of Hamas, involved in terrorism, or that the agency acted contrary to its duties.
It was also written that even if a number of the organization's members may have acted contrary to its principles, its activities are necessary in the region and no alternative was presented to the response it provides.
The court also determined in the opinion, issued at the request of the UN General Assembly, that Israel is obligated to provide humanitarian assistance and response to the population in the Gaza Strip.
About a year ago, the Knesset approved the law prohibiting UNRWA activities in Israeli territory, due to the involvement of some of the organization's members in terrorism, including in the October 7 massacre.
