An argument on the road that escalated into a mass brawl and a stabbing with serious injury led to an indictment against a 21-year-old man from the north.

According to the indictment, the incident began on the afternoon of October 2, when a relative of the stabbed man was driving with his friend in their car in Mar'er. During the trip, the driver of a jeep in which the defendant, his brother, and his wife were traveling, stuck to their vehicle and tried to overtake them on a section of road that did not allow it.

The driver of the car pulled over to the side of the road and signaled the defendant to continue driving, but the defendant stopped his car, got out of it, and began shouting, cursing, and threatening that "he will kill you and their family today.".

The defendant then returned to his vehicle and drove away.

When the driver returned home and told his brother about the incident, the latter - who knows the defendant - called him to find out the reason for the confrontation. In response, the defendant cursed him and hung up the call in anger.

Shortly thereafter, several vehicles arrived at the family home, from which dozens of people emerged, some equipped with assault weapons, led by the defendant.

A mass brawl broke out at the scene, during which, according to suspicion, the defendant pulled out a knife, stabbed the victim to death, causing him serious injuries and a broken leg. The victim was taken to a hospital for medical treatment, while the defendant fled the scene.

Following the incident, the Northern District Police launched an accelerated investigation, which included collecting evidence and collecting numerous testimonies.

Police investigators were able to trace the identity of the suspect, a 21-year-old resident of the city of Mar'er, and establish an evidentiary foundation against him.

Upon completion of the investigation, an indictment was filed against him, along with a request to detain him until the end of the legal proceedings.

Israel Police: "The police have zero tolerance for bullying and violence of any kind directed against citizens and act swiftly and decisively against all manifestations of violence with the aim of bringing those perpetrators to justice.".
