In recent days, the IDF has begun physically marking the 'yellow line' in the Gaza Strip - using yellow concrete blocks that will be installed along the border of Israeli control in the area.

The line is intended to clarify to Gaza residents where the border passes and to warn against crossing it into IDF-controlled areas.

The move, which is being carried out under the guidance of the political echelon, is intended to reduce infiltration attempts by Palestinian elements.

The IDF currently holds approximately 50 percent of the territory of the Gaza Strip. The marking will be established as a security and political separation line, marking the IDF's area of deployment.

Defense Minister Israel Katz clarified that this is a step designed to ensure the security of IDF forces and Israeli citizens. He said, "Any violation and attempt to cross the line will be met with fire.".
