The influential and pious Rabbi Menachem ben Zion Grossman, zt"l, passed away at the age of 80.

Baruch Dayan, the truth teller: The devout Chabad rabbi Menachem ben Zion Grossman, influential in the Chabad community in Migdal HaEmek, died today (Thursday) at the Beilinson Medical Center in Petah Tikva at the age of 80 - after suffering a stroke and being hospitalized in serious condition.

The late zt"l was born in Jerusalem on the 11th of Av 5750 in Jerusalem, to his father, the gaon Rabbi Yisrael Grossman zt"l, Rosh Yeshiva of Pinsk Karlin, who served as Rosh Yeshiva of Karlin and Tomchei Temimim in Kfar Chabad, and to his mother, Mrs. Gutte Pearl (Pnina), daughter of Rabbi Yosef Gutfarb zt"l.

In his youth, he was educated at the Etz Chaim Torah Talmud in Jerusalem.

When he reached his peak, he married his wife, Mrs. Chaya Sarah, daughter of the eminent Rabbi Yerachmiel Moshe Koenig zt"l of Jerusalem.

Over the years, he joined the management of the Nachalat Har Chabad Tomchei Tamimim Yeshiva.

He was a visitor to the house and close associate of Baba Sali Rabbi Israel Abuhatzeira, zt"l, and was close to many great Israelis.

For a period of time, he was a staff member at the "Chesed LaAvraham" institution, established by the Rebbe of Skulean, zt"l, and was involved in guiding the children of immigrant families towards Haredi education. He also served as Rosh Yeshiva for prisoners undergoing rehabilitation.

He was one of the founders of the Migdal Or institutions in Migdal HaEmek, and stood alongside his brother, Rabbi Grossman, in establishing and establishing the institutions.

He left behind a blessed generation of righteous people, sons and daughters, sons-in-law and descendants.

His brothers: Rabbi Yitzhak David, rabbi of Migdal HaEmek; Rabbi Yaakov; Rabbi Zalman from the management of the 'Migdal Or' institutions; and Rabbi Eliezer, Rosh Yeshiva 'Migdal Or' for young people and rabbi at the Sert Vizhnitz Yeshiva.

His brothers-in-law: the eminent rabbis Rabbi Naftali Nussbaum, head of the 'Hayei Moshe' yeshiva in Jerusalem, Rabbi Shmuel Zvi Fried Dayan in Jerusalem, Rabbi Ben Zion Leibowitz, educational director of the Vizhnitz institutions in Jerusalem, and Rabbi Baruch Luria, rabbi of the 'Beer Mayim Chaim' high school for dayanism in Jerusalem.

The funeral procession will leave tonight at 10:00 PM in Migdal HaEmek, where he will be buried.
