Shir Sigal, the daughter of captivity survivors Aviva and Keith Sigal, who participated in the rally at the "Hittofim Square" last night (Saturday night), addressed on her Instagram account the boos against Netanyahu - during the speech by US presidential envoy Steve Witkoff.
""Shocking and tactless to an embarrassing degree," wrote Siegel. "No matter what one thinks of Bibi and his government, it's simply disgraceful that at a moment like this they choose to arrest Witkoff and deliver political criticism.".
She added: "The square is the home of the families of the fallen - and there is no place for any political calls that divide or turn the partners into a right or left-wing issue. This is my personal opinion only.".
According to her, "There are good people who want to be part of it, who want the kidnapped people home. Those people who came to the square and in a moment like this, in a second they become unbelonging and even confiscated.".
Siegel said that there are families of kidnapped people "who are begging to stop with the political chants.".
""So explain to me why? Why turn the square into a place for you or not for Bibi? There are so many other places to boo Bibi, why in this holy place?""
She clarified: "The square is not political and it is certainly not a right or left place. There are a few people who unfortunately turn it into one. But our power, and especially that of those who disagree with the boos, is to come and turn it into one that includes everyone.".
In her opinion, "anyone who gives up supporting families because of boos is surrendering to cheap and ugly politics.".
