Yaakov Wider, a member of the Bnei Brak City Council and chairman of the Likud faction, sharply criticizes the inaction of law enforcement authorities.

This comes after more than a month has passed since he filed an official complaint on behalf of the residents against Mayor Hanoch Seibert, senior officials in his office, and other officials in the municipality and the Ministry of the Interior, on suspicion of serious mismanagement of public funds - and still none of those involved have been summoned, examined, or questioned.

Wieder said: "There are extremely serious suspicions here and clear evidence. When there is no treatment, it may be seen as a cover-up. The city's residents want to believe that law enforcement agencies are acting with a clean heart, but in light of this conduct, I have no answer when asked how one can believe.".

Vider added: "The money of the residents of Bnei Brak was not wasted. The public will not forgive anyone who tries to sweep corruption under the carpet. I pledge to continue to update the public on every development.".
