Singer and songwriter Idan Raichel was interviewed last night by Danny Kushmaro on the "Ulpan Shishi" program on Keshet 12, where he spoke about the period he has been through in the two years that have passed since the outbreak of the "Iron Swords" war.

One of the most moving moments in the interview was when Reichel revealed that a baby he helped save became a martyred terrorist in the Gaza Strip 17 years later.

""I received a picture from Khan Yunis from a fighter who found it on a dresser," he said in an interview. "In the picture itself, I still have dreadlocks. And I'm next to my father in a baby's bed. I was in an organization called 'save a child heart' - an organization that travels all over the world and brings babies here for heart surgery.

""Then at a certain point they started bringing in a lot of Palestinian children," Reichel notes.

At this point he returned to the present: "The soldier tells me - 'Listen, this father is a Hamas activist, and this baby became a martyr.'".

On the screen appears a picture of that child who was saved thanks to Israel - and now he is in a Hamas uniform and with the terrorist organization's green headband on his head.

Reichel chose to end the story by referring to another dark part of the history of the Jewish people. "A very, very old woman from Austria once told me: 'We were all involved (in the Holocaust)'.".

At this point, Reichel looked straight at his beloved and said with tears in his eyes: "To this day, not a single Righteous Among the Nations has been found in Gaza.".
