Katie Melua, a British singer, discovered that she had been hiding in her ear for an entire week... a live spider.

Meloa, 30, was using old headphones, and from there the spider wandered into her ear. For a whole week, the young woman heard a disturbing buzzing sound in her ear, until she went to an ENT doctor. He examined the ear and surprised himself when he pulled out a live spider.

The doctor told the Mirror website that he has removed quite a few dead insects from patients' ear canals, but this is the first time he has extracted a live spider.

Meloa uploaded the photo of the spider and the old headphones to Instagram, and then released the spider in her garden.
