The month of Elul evokes heavy feelings in many: stress, anxiety, and sometimes even a desire for this time to simply pass. But is this really the essence of the month? Or is it possible to experience Elul and the "Holy Days" in a completely different way?

Here, three revolutions that changed the face of Judaism come into play. Three great righteous men who laid new foundations for Jewish life: the Baal Shem Tov, the Baal Tanya, and the Lubavitcher Rebbe. Each of them illuminated a different aspect in their time, and together, Hasidism became a revolutionary force that enlivens the Jewish soul to this day.

The Baal Shem Tov – revealed that God is present in every detail of reality, and that it is possible to worship Him at any moment and in any situation. The Baal Tanya – showed how to penetrate the soul, deal with struggles and difficulties, and discover the inner soul. And the Rebbe – connected the two approaches into a third, global revolution, which illuminates not only the lives of the individual but the entire nation and the world.

In a fascinating lesson, Rabbi Yosef Yitzhak Jacobson explains the full story: what Hasidism really is, why today's existence thirsts for it so much, and how it can change the way we experience the month of Elul and Jewish life in general.
