National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir commented on the confrontation: "Shame and disgrace that MK Gilad Karib, a lawbreaker, attacks a respected and professional police officer.".
The minister added that he supports the officer and will contact Knesset Speaker Amir Ohana - "to warn Karib. The Israel Police is not a punching bag for frustrated politicians.".
