During the protest held this evening (Saturday night) in Jerusalem, a loud confrontation developed between the commander of the Moria police station, Deputy Chief Yuval Reuven, and MK Gilad Kariv - who had come to supervise the arrest of a protester.

During the exchange, the station commander told Karib: "Go yell at the Knesset.".

National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir commented on the confrontation: "Shame and disgrace that MK Gilad Karib, a lawbreaker, attacks a respected and professional police officer.".

The minister added that he supports the officer and will contact Knesset Speaker Amir Ohana - "to warn Karib. The Israel Police is not a punching bag for frustrated politicians.".
