A 3-year-old toddler died today (Thursday) after being left in a closed vehicle for an extended period of time in Neighborhood 11 in Be'er Sheva.

It is suspected that his mother forgot him in the car while dropping off the children at daycare centers in the morning.

The toddler was found unconscious in a closed vehicle on Meir Yaari Street in Beer Sheva at noon. He was taken to Soroka Medical Center, where CPR was ongoing, and his condition was described as critical - where, unfortunately, doctors were forced to declare him dead.

MDA emergency medical paramedics, Yair Rosolio and Adir Nizri, said: "We received a report of a child who had been in a closed vehicle for a long time. We arrived at the scene quickly and were told that the child had been removed from the vehicle after being in it for a long time.

""We immediately began medical treatment, which included performing CPR, administering medication, and cooling him, while we loaded him into an MDA intensive care unit and transported him to the hospital in critical condition while performing CPR.".

Yonatan Cohen, Yagil Bitan and Matan Azulai, paramedics from United Hatzalah: "We assisted in performing CPR and then he was evacuated in an intensive care unit to Soroka Hospital in critical condition while CPR continued. We were informed at the scene that he had been in the vehicle for an extended period of time.".
