Hamas' internal security apparatus in the Gaza Strip issued a "severe warning" to residents of the Strip on Saturday, demanding that they refrain from revealing details on social media about "martyrs" who were killed.
The announcement noted that there have recently been cases where residents have distributed photos of fighters who belonged to Hamas, along with information about military activities in which they took part before being eliminated.
The terrorist organization warned that spreading this type of information could endanger the lives of the families of the dead and other fighters.
Residents of the Gaza Strip were called upon to rely solely on official Hamas announcements.
The terrorist organization also stated that the State of Israel is using published images to improve artificial intelligence systems, which could expose additional fighters and put them in danger.
