""Yesterday we approved the IDF's plans to defeat Hamas in Gaza - with heavy fire, evacuation of residents and maneuver," Katz wrote.
Katz emphasized that if Hamas does not agree to Israel's conditions for ending the fighting, primarily the release of all hostages and disarmament, "the gates of hell will soon open on the heads of Hamas' murderers and rapists in Gaza, until they agree to Israel's conditions for ending the war, primarily the release of all hostages and disarmament.".
The minister added: "If they don't agree - Gaza, the capital of Hamas, will become Rafah and Beit Hanoun. Just as I promised - so it will be.".
Last night, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu visited the Gaza Division, where he received briefings from senior IDF officials on the continued fighting in the Strip.
During his remarks, Netanya said: "We are in the decision-making stage. I arrived today at the Gaza Division to approve the plans that the IDF presented to me and to the Minister of Defense for taking control of Gaza City and defeating Hamas. I greatly appreciate the readiness of the reserve soldiers, and of course the regular army, for this vital goal.".
Netanyahu added that, alongside the military campaign, he instructed to begin talks to release the hostages: "At the same time, I instructed to begin immediate negotiations for the release of all our hostages and an end to the war on terms acceptable to Israel. These two things - the defeat of Hamas and the release of all our hostages - go hand in hand.".
