Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich addressed the "Stop Day" protests this evening (Sunday) and said that they failed to paralyze the country.

""Citizens of Israel, we are after a day that began with bombastic statements by left-wing organizations, who sought to organize protests today and stop the state. What did we actually have? Neither bears nor a forest. The State of Israel did not stop, not even for a minute.".

Smotrich claimed that only a minority participated in the protests. "A few thousand out of ten million citizens of the State of Israel blocked roads all over the country today.".

He said, "The people of Israel express enormous solidarity with the kidnapped and their families, and are in no way willing to be a tool in the hands of left-wing protest organizations that seek to overthrow the right-wing government and make cynical use of it.".

He addressed the Prime Minister in his remarks and asked to lead a broad military move: "It may be that lately you too have been a little too frightened by the campaign. You took the media seriously, the feeling that the people are not with you. You too saw today together with the entire people of Israel. The people of Israel are with you, the people of Israel are with us, behind us in demanding victory to go to the end.".

He added: "Finally make the right decision. Announce with your voice that there will be no more stopping in the middle, no more partial deals. Give the order to the IDF to storm Gaza and the central camps, to collapse the military centers of gravity that still remain for Hamas, to destroy it completely and to return the kidnapped. All of them, all of them, without any stopping in the middle.".

According to him, a quick victory must be achieved: "Mr. Prime Minister, let's bring together and with God's help the complete victory for the people of Israel before winter. You too saw today that the people of Israel are with us in this unequivocal demand. Complete victory all at once.".

The Minister of National Security, Itamar Ben-Gvir, also celebrated the failure of the protest:

""The strike that failed today is a direct continuation of the strikes from Kaplan's workshop. These are the same strikes, protests, blockades that were here before the 7th to the 10th. I say, these strikes weaken the State of Israel - and they do not bring the abductees closer.".
