Central District police arrested a resident of Hod Hasharon this morning (Tuesday) on suspicion of publishing a call and encouragement for violence on social media - on a political basis.
The arrest was made after investigators at the Kfar Saba station opened an investigation upon receiving a report of posts on social media that allegedly incited and supported acts of violence - and this on a political basis.
Among other things, the suspect posted: "We came to slaughter Bibiists and Hitler supporters... a sect of fascists... we will murder you all."
The suspect - a 24-year-old resident of Hod Hasharon - was detained for questioning, at the end of which he was released on conditions.
At the same time, the investigation material will be forwarded to the prosecutor's office for review and decision.
