Dutch media reported this morning (Tuesday) that the country will ban Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich and National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir from entering the country - due to their "violent statements", including calls to apply sovereignty to Judea and Samaria.

According to reports, the two ministers have been designated as persona non grata in the country. In addition, the local government is expected to summon the Israeli ambassador, Modi Ephraim, for a reprimand.

Minister Ben Gvir responded: "Even if I am banned from entering all of Europe, I will continue to act for our country and demand that we collapse Hamas and support our fighters.

"Those who are violent, murderers and rapists are our enemies, but in Europe, as in Europe, whoever is attacked is guilty. In a place where terrorism is tolerated and terrorists are welcomed, a Jewish minister from Israel is unwanted, terrorists are free and Jews are exiled."

Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich responded: "What the Netherlands and other European countries don't understand is that much more than it is important for me to enter the Netherlands, it is important to me that my children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and all Jews around the world, be able to live in the State of Israel safely for decades and centuries to come."

"In the Netherlands and in Europe in general, Jews did not live in security at the beginning of the last century, and judging by the European hypocrisy, the surrender of its leaders to the lies of the extremist Islam that is taking over it, and the rising anti-Semitism there - Jews will not be able to live there in security in the future either. I dedicate my life to the future and security of Israel and will continue to do so to the best of my judgment, even if it means standing firm against the entire world. And as the late Prime Minister, Menachem Begin, said, if anyone in the world turns up their nose - then let him have a crooked nose."

Last month, Britain, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and Norway announced the imposition of personal sanctions against Smotrich and Ben Gvir.

Later today, a meeting is expected to be held in Brussels to discuss possible European steps. According to the report, if it is then revealed that Israel is not complying with humanitarian agreements with the European Union, the Netherlands will "make efforts" to suspend the trade clause in the association agreement between the European Union and Israel.
