Netanyahu spoke by phone with Russian President Vladimir Putin about Iran and Syria

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke by phone this evening (Monday) with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The focus of the conversation was the Iranian issue, and in particular the tensions with Tehran after the end of Operation 'Am Kalavi'.

In addition, the two discussed the situation in Syria.

The Kremlin statement said: "In a conversation with Netanyahu, Putin emphasized the importance of supporting the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Syria. Putin expressed willingness to help find an agreed solution to the Iranian nuclear program."

The Prime Minister's Office reported: Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke this evening with Russian President Vladimir Putin. The conversation between the leaders dealt with the issue of Iran.
