Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu today (Sunday) brushed aside international criticism of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip.
Fast track or regular track: will you decide how to receive your money?
After visiting the Ramon Air Force Base, together with Defense Minister Yisrael Katz and Air Force Commander Major General Tomer Bar, Netanyahu said: "I am in Mitzpe Ramon, after visiting the Air Force Base, where I thanked the Air Force Commander and the wonderful air and ground crews for the wonderful work they did in Operation 'Am Kalavi.'"
"We are fighting in the Gaza Strip. Unfortunately, we have wounded, we also have fallen. I send condolences to the families and wishes of recovery to the wounded. But let it be clear - we will achieve the goal. We will eliminate Hamas.
"To complete this goal, and also the release of our hostages, we are advancing in fighting and negotiating. Whatever path we choose, we will have to continue to allow the entry of minimal humanitarian supplies. We have done that up until now."
"But the UN is making excuses and lies about the State of Israel. It says: 'We don't let humanitarian supplies in.' We do. There are secured convoys. They have always been there, but today it's official. There will be no more excuses. We will continue to fight, we will continue to act until we achieve all of our war goals - until complete victory."
During the visit, the Air Force Commander, the Ramon Base Commander, and the squadron commanders presented to the Prime Minister the main activities of the Air Force and the multi-service cooperation during Operation 'Am Kalavi', as well as key insights and directions for the continuation of the campaign.
Netanyahu presented the Air Force commander with a certificate of appreciation for the force's activities during Operation 'Am Kalavi', at a ceremony held at the base, and spoke with the ground and air crews.
