Welling Airlines today (Friday) published the identity of the pilot who flew the group of Jewish children from France who were taken off a plane in Spain - and then it turned out: he was also the flight instructor for two of the Al-Qaeda terrorists who crashed into the Twin Towers on September 11, 2001.
According to a report in 'Kan News', the airline reported that Ivan Chirivaya has been a pilot at Welling since 2006, has accumulated more than 12,500 flight hours in his career, and also works as a flight instructor at an independent flight school, where, according to it, "he has trained more than 100 pilots from around the world in flight operations."
Two of the terrorists "helped" by lessons they received from the Spanish flight instructor: Muhammad Atta, the leader of the cell, and Marwan al-Shehi, who already came with some knowledge of flying from another aviation school. The two "need to improve their skills" in order to carry out the deadly terrorist attack.
Chiribiya had previously been investigated by the FBI for his alleged connection to the affair, and was found not guilty. In his book about the events, "Innocent Partner: The Diary of the Spanish Pilot Who Taught the 9/11 Terrorists to Fly," he described Atta and al-Shehi as very aggressive. Chiribiya flew with Atta and al-Shehi for four hours almost every morning from September to October 2000.
Meanwhile, Walling Airlines reiterated this morning its version that the behavior of the group of Jewish children - who sang songs in Hebrew - was what led to their expulsion from the flight.
